Our Story
Komeh Swish is a Nigerian luxury couture fashion house founded by Miriam Kome Jegede alongside her husband and co founder, Atiemoria Jegede. Built on creativity, resilience, and shared vision, the brand was established with the dream of creating timeless couture pieces that embody elegance, femininity, and intentional craftsmanship.
Born on April 10th, 1996 and raised in Kwale, Delta State, Nigeria, Miriam Kome Jegede formerly known as Miriam Kome Awharota, grew up in a Christian home led by clergy parents, where faith, discipline, and creativity shaped much of her upbringing and worldview. She is the sixth child in a family of nine children, five girls and four boys, an experience that deeply influenced her resilience, sense of responsibility, and determination from an early age.
Before venturing into fashion, Miriam initially trained as a baker, expressing creativity through another form of refined artistry. However, after graduating from university in 2019, she discovered a deeper passion for fashion and design, a passion that would ultimately redefine her path and give birth to Komeh Swish.
Driven by vision and determination, she enrolled in fashion school in 2019 and shortly after co founded Komeh Swish alongside her husband, Atiemoria Jegede, whose unwavering belief in her dream became a defining part of the brand's story. In one of the earliest and most significant moments of their journey, he gifted her her very first sewing machine, a simple but powerful act of support that marked the beginning of what would eventually grow into a recognized couture fashion house.
What started from humble beginnings has gradually evolved into a growing luxury brand known for refined bridal couture, modern evening wear, handcrafted statement pieces, and sculpted silhouettes. Today, Komeh Swish creates custom luxury designs for brides, celebrities, and clients across different parts of the world, earning recognition for its detailed artistry, timeless elegance, and modern couture approach.
